The 7th annual retreat retreat was held June 1st to the 6th, at Zephyr Point’s Tallac Center. As always “we spent each day stitching, eating, laughing and quilt shop hopping – and not necessarily in that order. The weather was spectacular, quilting friendships developed and were nourished, leaving us all yearning for next year.”

This years we had an unusual visitor - a BEAR! The first sighting was June 4th at 8:58 a.m. - is that a woman at her front door (in a turquoise T-shirt) only about 12 feet away? He went down the stairs on the far side of this cabin and passed behind The Tallac Center where we were sewing. One attendee described him a being as big as a VW Bug and another noted how quickly our favorite little rabbit took for cover when it saw the bear. Twenty minutes later he was gone.
