From the President Elect

At the January meeting, I had hoped I would have had some responses to the request for volunteers to fill next year's guild board positions. With perhaps a bit of time to think about this, you will reconsider. 

The consequences are not pleasant to think about.  If we have no President-elect we will not have a guild in 2025-2026. This is a two year commitment.  One year as the elect (click here for by-laws), and the next year as the president.

 If we do not have a program-director(s), we will not have any programs after April 2024.  We sure need someone to step up for this position soonest, to start booking programs from May and on through March of 2025. And, having no program director(s)-elect means no programs for 2025-2026.  This is a two year commitment, one year you would book guest speakers for the following year when you will be the program director.

We also need a secretary. 

Without these positions filled we would not have a quorum for the Board to function. 

Remember, we all are volunteers and often come to these positions with no previous knowledge. This is a friendly guild and help is just an “ask” away.
